CyberShopUK
have 2 different products. There are some
key difference between them, that you
should be aware of before you plan your
ecommerce project.
In simple terms the Shopping Cart provides
a "BUY ME" linking facility
from your own web page, whereas our Shop
Builder generates the complete web page
and provides stock control.
The picture below shows an example web
page - created by the merchant's own web
designer. There are 2 links highlighted
with numbers 1 and 2:
1 = A simple BUY ME link generated by
our system has been used within the HTML
of the page. When this link is used, it
takes the customer from the merchant's
site over to our servers, where we deliver
the "basket" element of their
web business.
2= A drop down list has been created by
the web designer. When the customer selects
an option, they are taken to a specific
web page... which is the same basket link
as before, except that this time the product
name, price and description are different.
This can be done very easily as the web
designer does not have to add any products
to our database. All that they do is take
one example of the "basket link"
and amend it as many times as they like
within their own page.

This second picture shows you the basket
page, once a customer clicks on the BUY
ME link:

The number 3 on the page
is another thing that you need to note.....
With our cart you can define the colours
on the screen, and add not only a logo,
but a whole set of HTML code. This will
let you custommise your basket and maintain
your company image from your original
web site.
Indeed your customers should not notice
any difference when they browse back and
forward within your shop, adding things
to their basket and comeong back for more.
Advanced users can request the source
code and be as creative as they want !!
Shop Builder V2.3 on the
other hand provides more of the web
page design for you. The picture below
is a site that uses a frameset as well
as the basic shop.
The menu on the left and the logo strip
along the top are all files uploaded
to our system by the merchant. The picture
of the boot, the layout in the middle
of the screen and the list of sizes
etc... are all generated by our database
once a product has been added to the
shop.
As you can see, from this example and
the one under it, each shop can have
a very different look and feel to it.
It all depends on what you want to do!
The most important thing is that it
works and is easy to use for any merchant
or web designer.

Not only does the Shop
Builder V2.3 set out your shop, it also
adds a "search function" to
the page. You can use this to create
specific links to departments, or to
special products. The uses are as endless
as your imagination.
If you cannot find the departments you
want to use - simply ask and we will
add some for you.
