How
to add a "VIEW BASKET" link to your
site:
To add a VIEW BASKET link to your site, simply
use:
http://www.cybershopuk.com/basket.php3?shopName=Your-Shop-Name
&execute=buyme&productCode=&productName=&price=&depositextra=0
&extra1name=&extra1=&shippingUK=0.00&shippingEurope=0.00&shippingROW=0.00
Linking
directly to a department within a full shop:
The link to a specific department can
be called by linking to the following web
address:
http://www.cybershopuk.com/shopproductsnew.php3?voffmall=yes
&merchantID=xyz&category=DepartmentNameHere&searchstring=&pcode=
Remember that YOUR merchant ID needs to be
correct, otherwise the link will bring up
someone elses shop!
Your MERCHANT ID will be displayed when you
move the mouse pointer over the VIEW STORE
buttons within your on-line SHOP ADMINISTRATION
area, or alternatively it will be seen in
your browser's status bar at the bottom of
the screen (ensure this is 'on') when you
visit your store from the URL www.CyberShopUK.com/ShopName
I want to create my
own 'departments' - such as flowers, or a
list of products by a particular manufacturer
(full shop):
Firstly you must add the products to the system
as normal and put them into one of the original
departments offered by CyberShopUK.
If you would like us to create a specific
department to the shop system, rather than
"invent" your own - please feel
free to e-mail us with your request....if
the name is one that others might use, we
will be more than happy to add the department
to our list.
If we are not able to add your department,
you can then create links that call up specific
sections of products.....The following URL
will generate a table containing all the YAMAHA
products from within the MARINE section of
your shop.....In effect you have created a
YAMAHA department:
http://www.cybershopuk.com/shopproductsnew.php3?voffmall=yes
&merchantID=xyz&category=Marine&searchstring=Yamaha&pcode=
You can repeat this for as many specific
lists as you wish to create. The key thing
to remember is that the 'searchstring' variable
will be looking through the MARINE department
for products with the word YAMAHA within
their PRODUCT NAME.
Building pages that create these smaller,
additional departments makes your shop work
faster, as fewer products will be downloaded
every time a customer 'clicks' to visit
a specific section of your shop.
Using 'drop down lists' with a variety of
links can also let you create a shop with
easy to navigate lists of products.
Adding
a specific product directly into your basket
within a full shop:
Instead of linking to a department,
complete with template and search facility,
you may provide links directly to your basket
- the link can be added to any graphic, or
text of your choice. Try the following:
http://www.cybershopuk.com/basket.php3?execute=add&productID=xyz
&merchantID=xyz&extra1=&quantity=1
Individual PRODUCT ID’s will be displayed
when you move the mouse pointer over the
EDIT button from within the ‘SHOW FULL PRODUCT
LIST’ option of your on-line SHOP ADMINISTRATION
area.
I
want to add an unusual 'post & packing'
charge to my site, either full shop or cart
only:
Creating
a system that can cope with all the post
and packing options available is a task
that would have made the CyberShopUK products
harder to use and more expensive to run.
After taking feedback from users, we have
kept the current postal options as a simple
'add to very order' or 'add for this product
only'.
There can be situations such as:
'Buy this book and
the post is £1.00, but buy this book
PLUS two CD's and spend over £30 and
postal is FREE !'
The best way to create a custom postal
system is to have a link to a page called
'POSTAL CHARGES' and list within it a selection
of 'products' that demonstrate the charges
to 'add to basket'.
The product descriptions will inform the
user which 'product' to add, depending on
their final shopping bill and products already
ordered. Remember to
tell the shopper to visit this page, or
they may process a sale with NO postal charges
!!!!
This can be done within the full shop or
the cart only system and can be as complex
as you like !
